The Emmy Awards mark TV’s biggest night, when the stars of the small screen come out to look pretty and hand out trophies. And speaking of pretty, we couldn’t keep our eyes off Sarah Niles, first-time Emmy nominee for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Apple TV’s beloved Ted Lasso. The show itself won for Outstanding Comedy Series a second time, but Sarah is a winner in our book for a different reason.

Why? The actress turned out to the ceremony wearing a face full of Milk Makeup products. Her MUA Jessica Smalls is responsible for her beauty look that evening, telling Milk Paper that the overall goal was to make Sarah “shine like the star that she truly is.”

Mission: accomplished. We asked Jessica to break down Sarah’s Emmys 2022 makeup look for us.

When Sarah hit the red carpet, her skin was Glowing with a capital G. That’s thanks to a combo of our Vegan Milk Moisturizer mixed in with the Allure Best of Beauty-winning Bionic Glow Hydrating Liquid Illuminator in Reality, a bronze hue. To keep the glow on 10 but any excess shine on zero, Jessica applied Milk Makeup Pore Eclipse Mattifying Primer to Sarah’s T-zone.

After her skin was primed and ready, Jessica applied our new Future Fluid All Over Cream Concealer in 26N to the outer perimeter of Sarah’s face. She added shade 21N to the center “for an airbrush effect” and sparingly applied shade 18W to brighten her under eye area.

To “sculpt her face, paying close attention to her cheeks,” Jessica used our Bionic Bronzer in Invincible, a deep bronze hue. She added some Bionic Blush in Teleport to the tops of Sarah’s cheeks “for a natural flush,” as Jessica explains. It couldn’t be prettier.

Sarah wore a golden gown on the red carpet so of course, Jessica had to ensure her eyes sparkled as well. She first brushed her brows into place with our KUSH Fiber Brow Gel. Next, she “primed her eyelids and applied a medium orange color to her crease,” before lining Sarah’s eyes with the Infinity Long Wear Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in Outer Space. She took Limitless (a brown shade) and smudged the color onto her lid, up to the crease.

After dusting some dark brown shadow over top, Jessica added the Color Chalk Eyeshadow Stick + Powder Eyeliner in Jump to the center of Sarah’s lids. This gave the look that shimmery, gilded-gold color to match her gown.

Jessica kept Sarah’s lipstick natural to let those golden eyes do all the talking. She lined her lips with a deep chocolate hue, then applied Milk Makeup Lip Color Hydrating Matte Lipstick in C.R.E.A.M for that “your lips but better” look.

Sarah didn’t take home a statue, but she was definitely looking like the prize that night. We can’t wait to see her on future red carpets—something tells us this is just the start of even more major things for the star.
