No matter how you plan to spend your New Year’s Eve, you deserve to look good. That's where these New Year's Eve makeup looks come in.

There's no shortage of holiday makeup looks for the big night on the interwebs, but it’s a lot to sift through. So we did it for you, scouring social media for some of the best options, done, of course, with the help of Milk Makeup products.

Get into these party-ready New Year's Eve makeup looks below.

Mermaidcore Eyeshadow

Creative Content Intern Olivia Dick created an eyeshadow look with shimmery, holographic hues that give us heavy mermaid vibes. To make sure her skin was as radiant as the shadows, she started her look with Hydro Grip Primer to get a dewy, hydrated base for her makeup to grip on to. She boosted that glow even further by applying a bit of our Highlighter in Lit over our Lip + Cheek in Quirk, a spiced rose hue.

Glossed All Over

We may be in the thick of winter, but Social Media Marketing Intern Rie Stewart Verna looks extra moisturized and ethereal with this glossy makeup that goes heavy on the radiance. To make sure she was glowing for real, she reached for Hydro Grip Primer to create a dewy, hydrated base for her makeup.

She used Infinity Long Wear Eyeliner in Limitless to do a smoked-out wing on the outer third of her lid, before applying a matte beige hue across the rest. She went over the matte shadow with a silvery shimmer because, well, you’ve got to for this occasion. A little Highlighter in Lit on her cheekbones and a mix of Odyssey Lip Oil Gloss in Soul Search and Globetrot on her lips, and her look was complete.

StarRED

Creative Design Intern Alisha Dhir is making our David Bowie dreams come true. The secret to making their bold red star stay on all night? Hydro Grip Primer and Hydro Grip Eye Primer. To further define their eyes, thick black liner courtesy of Infinity in Outer Space was the choice, bringing the overall vibe to a perfect combination of glamour and grit.

Jewel Tones

Social Media Marketing Intern Bryanna Strickland is a gem, so a bedazzled, jewel-toned look seems fitting. They swiped a deeper purple shimmer shadow all over their lids, adding a pop of a lighter purple to the center for dimension. Then, they carefully placed rhinestones on the inner and outer corners on either side of their lids as some added bling.

They didn’t reserve the shine just for their eyes. A few taps of Bionic Glow in Reality on their cheeks kept the glow going. To play off the jewel tone shadows, they went with a combo of Lip + Cheek in Quickie, a berry hue and Odyssey Lip Oil Gloss in Trek, a deep shimmery rose.

Glossy + Frosty

Different shades, finishes, and textures of blue is what makes this New Year’s Eve look so brilliant. Community Coordinator Alexis Shectman created a small wing with Infinity Long Wear Eyeliner in Time, going over it with a shimmery deep blue pigment to set it in place. Over her lids, she swiped a base of Color Chalk in Freeze, a silver shimmer, then went over it with a glossy shadow packed with tiny holographic blue glitter. The combo gave her lids the slick look of an icicle. Odyssey in Globetrot tied it all together, bringing a super flattering frosty sheen to her lips.

Renaissance Silver Eyeshadow

Thanks to a certain summer world tour, 2023 was the year of silver, and Editorial Intern Chloe Zelch is happy to keep the disco going. For this look, she kept the focus on her eyes, using Color Chalk in Freeze all over her lids. To get the max saturation (and staying power) of the silver pigment, she spritzed her brush with Hydro Grip Set + Refresh Spray. After lining her eyes and boosting her lashes with KUSH Mascara, she used Lip + Cheek in Rally and Highlighter in Lit to add some a flush and glow to finish the look.

Wrapped in a Bow

Creative Content Intern Yvonne Zhang incorporated the trendiest accessory of the season—bows—into her New Year’s Eve look. Before painting her ribbons on, she used Future Fluid Concealer to create a base to work with. Yvonne finished off her look with RISE Mascara to lift her lashes.

Neutral Bronze

Art Director Keara Price clung to warm tones for this look, reaching for Color Chalk in Kickball to add a wash of bronze to her eyelids. Then, she reached for Infinity in Outer Space to create a wing. To finesse her complexion, Keara applied Future Fluid Concealer to brighten her under eyes so her look really shines. She topped off her look with RISE Mascara, which lent her lashes some length and subtle definition.

Silver Cat Eye

Editorial Intern Ella Torres’s take on a silvery cat-eye look has a touch of drama and glam—perfect for a New Year’s Eve party. Best of all, it’s pretty easy to achieve. She used Color Chalk in Freeze to add a sheer silver pigment on her lids just above her lash line it would peek out over the black cat eye she drew with Infinity in Outer Space. The rest of her face is pretty straightforward: she used Future Fluid Concealer and Sculpt Stick to add dimension to her complexion, finishing off with a bit of blush, lip gloss, and highlighter on the high points of her face.

Graphic Swirls

Want your makeup to do the most? @Maryesteran gets it. This swirly ombré graphic liner is a party in itself. You can be sure her makeup will stay put all night long—she started her base with our Hydro Grip Primer, which keeps makeup locked in for up to 12 hours. Her concealer won’t crease, either; that’s because she’s using Future Fluid All Over Cream Concealer in 13W, our crease-proof, cake-proof wonder.

Reverse Eyeliner + Silver Shadow

Milk Makeup designer Sarah Kendric is headed to the coolest party ever with this eye makeup. With a bit of our Color Chalk in Freeze swiped across her lids, she brought the look to the next level by drawing on a reverse wing with our Infinity Liner in Outer Space.

Secret Star Liner

@anya.tisdale calls this dreamy look “secret star liner” for not-so-secret reasons. The tiny star she drew with black liner in her inner corner is a cool take on a cat eye. Anya started this look with our Hydro Grip Primer as part of her base. As for the iridescent touches of pink in her inner corner, at her brow bone, and along her cheekbones? You can get a similar look if you use our Color Chalk in Skip It.

Starry Eyes

Want more star makeup inspo? @notkyraslooks is happy to provide. You can execute this with liner, rhinestones, and a little glitter. After creating her cat eye, she drew tiny black stars in the area. Look closely and you’ll notice some of them have little rhinestones around them. Silver glitter on the lower third of her under eye and at the inner third of her upper lids add an extra sparkly touch. To make sure the focus stays on the stars, create an even under eye with our Future Fluid All Over Cream Concealer, as Kyra did here.

Golden Eyes

Gold shadow with a tinge of green—@honestypleaseblog demonstrates just how gorgeous it can be. This smoky eye she created is extra shimmery and will look beautiful on New Year’s Eve. To make sure her makeup stays on long past the clock strikes midnight, she started with our Hydro Grip Primer and locked in the entire look with our Hydro Grip Set + Refresh Spray.

Extreme Cat Eye

@Nazerahlooks extended the inner corners of her cat eye nearly all the way to her nose, making the feline effect super intense. In addition to the super highlighted under-eye, the holographic shimmers on her lids and cheekbones add a very cool effect to the look. You can mimic it with our Color Chalks in Skip It and Yo-Yo.

Neutral Smoky Eye

The key to this look, done by @samanthaluxebeauty, is a well-concealed under eye area. For that, she used our Future Fluid All Over Cream Concealer in 14N to make sure her client looked “bright and awake.”

Rhinestone Butterfly

Mariah Carey’s lambs should ring in the New Year with this makeup look—just sayin’. @makeupbynaelyn upgraded her halo shadow by affixing rhinestones in the shape of a butterfly to both her eyes.

You don’t have to have her exact pink shadows on hand to execute this. Our Color Chalks in Bounce, Skip It, and Dodge Ball should do the trick. Just don’t forget to seal your look in with our Hydro Grip Set + Refresh Spray when you’re done.

Graphic Butterfly Liner

A little liner and a steady hand is all it takes to make an impact sometimes. If you’re not so much into bling, think of this as an edgier version of the rhinestone butterfly eye makeup.

@gabyaalejandraa used our Flex Foundation as a base. When you’re ready to draw your wings, reach for our Infinity Liner in Outer Space—make sure it’s sharpened so you can get the tails of the liner extra pointy. Since the eyeliner is so dramatic, the lashes have to match, so Gabriela grabbed our KUSH Mascara to get the job done.

Shimmery Turquoise Shadow

We absolutely love how @makeupbymikkel outlined this bold, turquoise shadow with diffused-but-defined smoky brown shadow.

He swiped on some of our KUSH Mascara to blend his natural lashes into his falsies. Because the eyes are so bold, the rest of his makeup is pretty neutral. To add some color to his cheeks, he used our Lip + Cheek in Werk, one of our best-selling shades.

Icy Shadow

We love the way this icy green and blue shadow stands out against @okaysophi’s rich skin tone. You can get a similar look with our Color Chalks in Green Light and Yo-Yo—they’re a bit deeper in hue, but they’ll still give off that colorful effect. Use our Color Chalk in Freeze with a liner brush to create a wing. To make sure all the focus is on your shadow, conceal with our Future Fluid All Over Cream concealer as Sophi did here.

Smoky Eyes

Black smoky eyes were created for partying. It’s science, didn’t you know? Here, our Lead Content Manager Esther Faciane uses a mix of our Color Chalk in Skateboard, Trampoline, and Freeze to create this shapely, smoky effect. The rest of their face is kept pretty low-key and neutral with our Sunshine Skin Tint + SPF 30 in Tan and Lip + Cheek in Quickie. To get their lip look, line your lips with a dark brown liner and use our Electric Glossy Lip Plumper in Pumped to finish.

Touches of Blue

You don’t need to add a whole lot of color to your lids to create an impactful look. As @kreepyy_ shows us here, just a little touch of blue at the smoked-out wing and at the corner of her eyes is just as stunning.

Kenia started with our Pore Eclipse Mattifying Primer for an even, mattified base. One more thing: you don’t need to use blue for this look, either. Any color you fancy will work.

Frosty Blue Shadow

Y2K is back, baby and nothing says early 2000s like some frosty blue eyeshadow. Here, our Junior Social Media Content Creator Iley Cao mixed our Color Chalk in Tag with another blue shadow to add a wash of baby blue to her lids. Then, she drew on a wing, finished the eyes with our KUSH mascara, swiped some Electric Glossy Lip Plumper in Wired on, and sealed it all in with our Hydro Grip Set + Refresh Spray.

Shimmery Green Shadow

@iamkytoo had dinos on her mind when she created this shimmery, smoky green eyeshadow look. If you don’t have her exact shadows but want to still get the vibe, grab our Color Chalks in Green Light and Skateboard to get a similar look. Shadow this bold requires impactful lashes, so Ky used our KUSH Mascara to finish.

Dark Blue Cat Eye

Can’t go wrong with a cat eye and dewy skin for New Year’s Eve. Just ask Kimasa, who created this look starring our Infinity Long Wear Eyeliner in Time, a slightly shimmery navy blue. The color really stands out against her skin tone, which is looking extra glowy and dewy. If you want a similar effect, try using our Sunshine Skin Tint SPF 30 and Sunshine Under Eye Tint + Brighten. Our Bionic Blush is also a good choice for a look like this, as it delivers a buildable flush of color and leaves an extra dewy finish.

Blue Underliner

We refuse to stop talking about this easy navy blue eyeliner look Sales and Education Executive Ari Adams did. It’s that good. He used our Infinity Long Wear Eyeliner in Time to trace his waterline, then gently blurred it out with the liner’s built-in smudger. (Did we mention it has a sharpener, too?) He finished his eyes with some KUSH Mascara.

Shimmery Green Shadow + Rhinestones

Have you guessed that we love a rhinestone eye moment? @kaylinnbihari used her own shadows for this look, but our Color Chalks in Green Light, Tag, and Hopscotch are up to the task. Kay was sure to start her look with a layer of Hydro Grip Primer at the base, to make her makeup stay on for up to 12 hours.

Simple Wing

If you’re not a whiz with a liner pencil, a simple wing will do. Our Editorial Intern Brooke Hannel demonstrates how a little liner and mascara can make you look instantly more polished and ready for anything. After creating that wing with our Infinity Liner, Brooke applied a few coats of our RISE Mascara.

Intense Bright Pink Shadow

Pantone says Viva Magenta is the color for 2023, so this eye look is an excellent way to stay on theme this New Year’s Eve. Though @jessiegracenorton originally created this for Valentine’s day, the color and done-but-undone, grungy style of this makeup is right for a party. Be sure you have an intense matte pink shadow on hand, as well as a glittery magenta shade to add to the center of your lid and sprinkle on the inner corners, too.

The shadow is intense, so keep the base makeup light. Jessie prepped her skin with our Sunshine Oil, let it sink in, then used our Sunshine Skin Tint + SPF in Fair for her base, sprucing up her under eyes with our Sunshine Skin Tint + Brighten in 1. To lend her complexion some warmth (and even more of that lit-from-within goodness), she used our Bionic Bronzer in Time Travel.

Blue + Gold Shadow

If you can’t decide whether you want to go neutral or bold with your New Year’s Eve makeup, @xprettyboymuovax demonstrates how you can do both. They outlined their shimmery gold shadow with bright blue liner—no need to choose.

For their base, they used our Hydro Grip Primer, Sunshine Skin Tint, and Matte Bronzer to perfect their complexion and ensure their makeup stayed put. After filling in their lips with a brown liner, they ran some of our Electric Glossy Lip Plumper in Charged over it.

Sparkly Soft Pink Shadow

A makeup look like this calls for a pink dress and a matching feather boa, no? This look from @evalisa.s is extra soft and shimmery. You can use our Color Chalks in Skip It, Dodge Ball and Hula Hoop to get a similar effect on your lids. Evalisa warmed up her face with our Bionic Bronzer in Time Travel and our Bionic Blush in Infinity.

Siren Eyes

When Milk Makeup Director of Artistry Sara Wren created this easy Siren Eye look, we had the good sense to break it down step-by-step. This look is easy to achieve with our Infinity Liners, and is a good choice for a party.

Blue Pink + White Shadow

@xanderyall created this look for Pride using the hues of the trans flag in his color palette. But if you ask us, Pride is every day. So if you still want to rep while you ring in the New Year, here’s a jumping off point.

For the pink, Xander used our Color Chalk in Skip It. The perfect companion to a strong shadow look like this is our KUSH Mascara, which he used on his lashes. On his lips, he applied our Electric Glossy Lip Plumper in Clear.

Xander’s tip for execution? “Whether you are following a tutorial or not, always make sure you have fun with it and add your flair,” he says. “Makeup has no rules.”

Smoky Shadow + Glitter

Is there any New Year’s Eve makeup look more classic than a smoky eye? We don't think so. Editorial Creative Director Lindsay Schallon used Color Chalk in Trampoline to create a smoky gray base, then added some chunky silver glitter over top. She tightlined with our Infinity Liner in Outer Space to make her eyes look extra piercing.

Light Blue Shadow + Dark Liner

The contrast between the powder blue shadow and that super thick, black wing? *Chef’s kiss* We love the juxtaposition of hard and soft that @samiambeautyx created here. “Balance out the look with a warm bronzer,” she suggests. Here, she used our Matte Bronzer.

Frosty Shadow + Tightline Eyeliner

Art Director Keara Price used our Color Chalk in Freeze on her lids before creating a black wing with the Infinity Liner in Outer Space. You can see how the tightlining lets her lashes look a bit thicker.

Smoky Black Shadow + Red Lips

You don’t have to choose between a bold lip and a bold eye—look how well they work together. Milk Makeup designer Taylor Mew employed both for a party look, and we think she nailed it. Get the smoky effect on your eyes with our Color Chalk in Skateboard.

No-Makeup Makeup

When you want to do the least, no-makeup makeup is your best bet. Take a cue from @katarinasokolati. “The holidays can be stressful and frustrating,” they say. “That’s why your makeup look should bring you joy with simplicity.” Here, they explain how to get the look with Milk products.

Skin is the focus, so they prep with our Vegan Milk Moisturizer, then follow with our Hydro Grip Primer. Add just a little bit of Future Fluid All Over Cream Concealer underneath your eyes before brushing up your brows with our KUSH Fiber Brow Gel in Dub. Curl your lashes, add a couple coats of KUSH Mascara, then add color to your cheeks with Bionic Blush in Infinity. Finish with our Hydro Grip Set + Refresh Spray.
