Wear Your Pride! Let’s Celebrate.
by Emily Gaynor + Abby McIntosh
Happy Pride, MMU Fam! This year, we’re super excited to announce our third collaboration with The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center (The Center), a downtown New York-based organization that seeks to empower people to lead healthy, successful lives, celebrate diversity, and advocate for justice and opportunity. We’re teaming up with them to bring you the Wear Your Pride Set, a perfect trio of Pride essentials. The set includes a Glitter Stick in Techno, a Deluxe KUSH Mascara, and a Mini Holographic Stick in Stardust, all packed in a cute white clutch with a rainbow zipper. Swipe on some glitter, a lil’ mascara, a galactic pink glow and you’re good to go.
For us, Wearing Your Pride is all about the journey towards self-acceptance and feeling free to fully express yourself, a pillar of our DNA since our inception. It’s about feeling good on the inside, feeling empowered and free to be yourself, and expressing that joy on the outside. Milk Makeup Co-Founder and Creative Director, Georgie Greville explains, “Wearing Your Pride is really about being able to shine with your identity and articulating how you feel inside on the outside. It’s a direct extension of our tagline #LiveYourLook, which means whoever you are, wear that and show that in your physical as well as what you do through your actions in life.” We will be sharing videos, interviews, images, and beyond on our social channels, website, Vibes, and e-mails. We will also be celebrating in NYC for the first-ever World Pride Parade to close out the month on June 30th.
For our third year, during the month of June, Milk Makeup will donate 100% of the net proceeds of the Wear Your Pride Set up to $50,000 to The Center to help achieve its mission to empower people to lead healthy, successful lives, celebrate diversity, and advocate for justice and opportunity. We’re also getting our Sephora fam involved again for more widespread awareness and support. The Wear Your Pride Set is available on Milkmakeup.com and Sephora.com. “Both Milk Studios and The Center are creative, safe spaces for all in downtown Manhattan. There is so much overlap between our communities and we support everything The Center stands for. We’ve shared a longstanding relationship and are thrilled to give back to them for a third year,” says Mazdack Rassi, Co-Founder of Milk Makeup.
