  • The Role:

    The Retail Sales Manager is responsible for driving the business locally through motivation, relationships, initiative, business acumen, passion and tenacity. Management of the Milk Makeup French field team and handling of operational responsibilities for France are the main functions of the Retail Sales Manager. This is a field position that will be based in the market.

    How You'll Thrive:

  • Recruit, lead, manage, motivate and retain the best sales performers in France to form a high calibre field force focused on driving retail to achieve month retail targets set.
  • Coach and support the French field team to develop and maintain relationships at all levels inclusive of Store Directors and Area Managers.
  • Develop strong and durable relationships with all retail partners in France inclusive of Buyers, Category Managers, Social Media, Merchandising and Marketing teams within the designated territory.
  • Lead commercial negotiations including cost share, counter space and location and new door openings in conjunction with the Head of International to designated territory.
  • Sell-in NPD by season to designated territory.
  • Allocate resources and track spend and return on investment within budget parameters as set on the Trade Marketing Plan approved by the Head of International and in accordance with actual sales trend to protect bottom line to designated territory.
  • Protect the Milk Makeup brand equity by ensuring that global visual guidelines are adhered to at all times. Partner with US headquarters in promoting a consistent customer experience worldwide.
  • Manage relationship with EU Merchandising Partner in conjunction with US headquarters.
  • Partner with US headquarters for all back office functions.
  • Strive to build and promote positive values in a motivational working environment for all Spanish field-based Milk Makeup employees within designated territory.
  • Manage day-to-day operations ensuring the ’24 hour response time’ rule is adhered to.
  • Forecast annual retail sales targets by door in conjunction with the Global Account Manager.
  • Analyze retail productivity and performance by store on a monthly basis providing key comments and follow-up action plans in accordance.
  • Compile and execute individual French field team member training and development plans in conjunction with the Global Account Manager.
  • Manage the execution of the global training program via training sessions at store level and in the field in conjunction with the Global Education Manager.
  • Ensure weekly communication with each French field team member together with a weekly ‘all team’ conference call).
  • Ensure French field team member expenses are compiled on time and are within budget and in place.
  • Assist Head of International with annual Strategy Meetings in designated market.
  • Attend and present NPD at local Press Events ensuring the brand DNA is upheld at all times.
